Several years ago a lady was telling me they were off to Italy for their annual trip. Being well travelled, I commented that it was one place I had never visited. I was advised that once you had visited, you would keep going back. I wasn’t convinced. So, in true traveller style, I booked up a trip to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast and have never looked back!

I have since visited Florence, Pisa, Rome, Sienna, Cortona, the lakes and Milano and all of the surrounding areas. Most recently, Perugia and Umbria.

In short, Italy is amazing. Wonderful food, hospitality and scenery. Give it a go, you won’t look back.
