The Knife Angel is a stunning 27ft, 3.5 tonne sculpture of an angel made out of 100,000 confiscated knives received from 43 Police Forces across the UK.

Originating from The British Ironwork Centre in Oswestry and created by sculptor Alfie Bradley, it has been on tour of towns and cities around Britain raising awareness of the issues of knife crime and all forms of violence and aggression.

The sculpture was specifically created to highlight the negative effects of violent behaviour whilst solidifying our critical need for social change. Not only does the Angel act as a catalyst for turning the tide on violent and aggressive behaviour, but it is also acts as a beautiful memorial designed to celebrate those lives who have been lost through these violent and thoughtless actions.

The British Ironworks Centre is a great place to visit and is very educational with lots of information on each of the animal sculptures.

They have two beautiful showrooms filled with a variety of unique products for the home and interiors to hardware and garden and a lovely café.
