Royal Horticultural Society

RHS Garden Hyde Hall is a wonderful garden in Chelmsford, Essex, England.

The Royal Horticultural Society was founded in 1804 and is the UK’s leading gardening charity. Horticulture is promoted by the RHS through flower shows which include; Chelsea / Hampton Court Palace / Tatton Park / Cardiff.

The RHS has 5 main gardens in:

  • Harlow Carr, Yorkshire
  • Hyde Hall, Essex
  • Rosemoor, Devon
  • Wisley, Surrey
  • Bridgewater, Manchester
They also have over 200 partner gardens which you can visit for free as a member.

Hyde Hall was wonderful to visit, whether it be for a few hours or all day.  They are open all year round, with plenty of places to sit, relax, shop and refuel.  A great place for some flower photography too – I can never get them to grow like that in my garden!

Take a look at the RHS website to see what is near you.
