Mostar’s icon sight, “Stari Most” through the ages.

The original Ottoman bridge stood for 427 years until it was destroyed by Croat forces in 1993 during the Bosnia war. The bridge had taken many hits since the June but following a bombardment on 9 November by an HVO tank, it finally succumbed. It was the final bridge to fall that joined the banks of the Neretva River.

It was rebuilt in 2004 and is once again an iconic landmark is this wonderful city.
