You can’t beat a day, weekend or longer break to London, the capital city of England.  Walk the streets and it is littered with wonderful statues, in fact, hundreds of them.

The ‘girl with a dolphin’ really caught my eye and imagination on my latest visit.  This amazing statue & fountain, can be found on the north bank of the Thames by the side of Tower Bridge. It was created by artist David Wynne OBE, a self taught artist in 1973. David who passed away in September 2014, is a British sculptor of figures, animals and portraits. David was born in 1926 and took up sculpture professionally in 1950 having served in the Royal Navy during WW2 and also read Zoology at Trinity College, Cambridge.
